How to read this list
Star Ratings: 4 and above is good. “Too new to be measured” is not bad, it is unknown. Premiums shown do not include your Part B premium.
What to do next

Here’s how it works
Why not just use Medicare.gov?
The average person who looked on Medicare.gov had 48 plans to choose from and told researchers they wanted about four. Medicare.gov hands you the list. This page starts with the plans most people can actually join and the four numbers that matter.
The Government Accountability Office found Medicare.gov’s tool hard to navigate and full of terms people don’t know. Here, every term is explained where you see it, and you never create a log-in.
Most “compare plans in your ZIP” sites are run by health insurance agencies and show only the plans they sell. This one shows every plan in the CMS file, and we do not sell insurance or pass your name to anyone who does.
What Medicare.gov does that we don’t: estimate your own drug costs by pharmacy, look up your doctors, and enroll you. Once you have narrowed it to two or three plans, go there to compare your drug costs and enroll.
Because a report on 40 plans is not something to read on a phone in one sitting. I email you your county’s complete report so you can print it, sit with it, and come back. And because the rules change every year, and I’d rather you hear it from me than from an ad.
Your email
Plain-language breakdowns of Social Security, Medicare and retirement rules: what changed, and what it means for your money. Unsubscribe on any email.
Your phone
I text you the link to your list so it is on your phone when you call the plan or your doctor. After that, one text a week with updates that can affect your benefits. Never a call. Reply STOP any time.
Nobody calls you out of the blue. Not me, not an agent, not a “benefits specialist.” We do not sell insurance, and we will never sell or share your information with anyone who does.
Straight talk about money: my newsletter and text list are free because sponsors and partners pay to be in them, and those messages are always labeled. Some partners, like the licensed Medicare advisors at Chapter, do sell insurance. If you ever want to talk to one of them, that is a link you click, never a call you get, and your information never leaves my list.
Ready when you are
Two minutes. Every plan CMS approved, the four numbers that matter, and your free Medicare Report emailed and texted to you. Nobody calls.
